In case you’re new to the blog, I’m a huge fan of races – marathons, half marathons, 10ks and the like. But my absolute favorite are outdoor obstacle races like the Spartan Race. My childhood dreams of climbing under barbed wire, jumping over flames and shimmying up and down ropes are realized in the mud, girt and glory of it all. They’re fun, they’re fit, and I always meet a lot of cool people every time I race.
For me, the Spartan Races are badass because they come with free meal & workout plans to gear up for your race. They also come in three levels/distances – Sprint, Super, and Beast – so that anyone can participate, regardless of fitness level. You can even do one, two, or all three if you’re extra crazy, which is something I aspire to but haven’t yet achieved.
